GetBlock RPC competitor monitor — 2026-09-22
Criterion of the day: Regional positioning: Asia, MENA, LATAM, EU data locality, regional infrastructure, compliance and partnerships (regional-positioning).
Decision summary
The current consolidated regional comparison compares all 15 tracked providers on five fixed dimensions. The available direct pages establish regional choice/distribution, not confirmed chain-specific RPC locations or contractual data residency. Do not sell “EU residency” from a geo-balancing claim or “Asia node” from a Singapore HQ. Ankr advertises 24 metros; Chainstack enterprise advertises BYO cloud with 20+ EKS hosting regions; NOWNodes pricing lists custom “Select regions”; dRPC home advertises 8 geo clusters/four continents. None of those reviewed passages names a verified Asia/MENA/LATAM/EU *RPC* deployment with a residency guarantee. Allnodes home mentions validator servers in Europe and Japan; this is not RPC endpoint placement.
Lifecycle: Blast API states products are deprecated and directs users to Alchemy. Grove states it is winding down, while Pocket Network Foundation says the protocol continues. Keep Blast and Grove rows for universe continuity, but do not pitch either as a current stand-alone managed regional RPC service.
What changed versus the previous topic brief
- Previous 2026-09-12 topic matrix marked Asia for Alchemy, Infura, Chainstack, NOWNodes, dRPC and Tatum, and EU for NOWNodes/dRPC, citing broad home/blog/pricing pages. The captured excerpts and today's direct review do not establish named regional RPC placement for these claims. Downgraded those eight cells to
Not verified in monitored public evidencerather than propagating unsupported green checkmarks. This is evidence reclassification, not a finding that vendors removed infrastructure. The previous Allnodes EU checkmark now specifies Europe/Japan validator hosting only. - Updated Chainstack, Ankr, NOWNodes and dRPC source/scope cells to distinguish region selection or distributed routing from a named regional node; revised coverage, gaps, buyer guidance and direct-source dates. All 15 provider rows retained.
- Blast and Grove lifecycle signals are already present on their direct sites; today confirmed in the capture, not presented as new launch/deprecation dates. Pocket Network is a distinct continuing protocol.
Monitored evidence by provider (2026-09-22)
| Provider | Direct evidence relevant to this criterion | Classification / unanswered buyer question |
|---|---|---|
| QuickNode | Enterprise advertises SLA/security; home and pricing changed hashes with Arc/main navigation. | No region-specific RPC placement evidenced here; hash change ≠ geographic launch. |
| Alchemy | Home, pricing, enterprise reviewed. | No named Asia/MENA/LATAM/EU RPC location or residency clause in reviewed capture. |
| Infura | Pricing describes plans/archive; networks describes chains. | Chain availability ≠ region; regional backend unknown. |
| Chainstack | Enterprise offers 20+ BYO-cloud EKS regions; home describes geo-balanced Global Nodes. | Region *choice* evidenced; named dedicated/shared RPC region, backup and cross-border routing unverified. Changed blog hash alone not used as market signal. |
| Ankr | Enterprise advertises geo-distribution across 24 metros. | Metro list and data processing boundary not proven. Changed docs extraction is not a regional claim. |
| Moralis | Enterprise describes enterprise offering. | Data feed/export region, RPC location and DPA terms not established. |
| NOWNodes | Pricing offers “Select regions” in custom offering. | Available regions, node type, routing and contract not shown. Blog changed with unrelated posts; not regional evidence. |
| dRPC | Home advertises 8 geo clusters across four continents; chainlist changed. | Cluster names and locality controls unverified; chainlist movement not regional deployment proof. |
| Blast API | Deprecation notice explicitly says Blast products no longer available. | Historical vendor only; evaluate replacement at Alchemy separately. |
| Blockdaemon | Home mentions managed node clusters; docs available. | No named region or residency shown in reviewed capture; changed blog/docs hashes not enough. |
| Tatum | Home lists chains; pricing reviewed. | Supported chains not deployment sites. Blog change not regional evidence. |
| Pocket Network / Grove | Grove farewell winding down; Pocket Network continues foundation-backed decentralized public RPC. | Neither implies geography or data residency; operator identities not interchangeable. |
| LlamaRPC | Home and chains unavailable in collector. | No defensible positive regional classification. |
| Allnodes | Home mentions hosted Solana validator servers across Europe, Japan and North America and bare-metal hosting; help available. | Named validator/hosting geography only; do not infer RPC geography, backup or DPA from it. Changed home/pricing may also reflect market-cap and navigation churn. |
| Lava Network | Home advertises distributed independent provider routing. | No regional placement or jurisdiction enforcement demonstrated. |
Capture limitations / noise
- Monitored unavailable URLs: QuickNode changelog 404; Alchemy docs/chains and customer-stories 404; NOWNodes old Postman docs 404; Blockdaemon blockchain-api and pricing 404; Tatum supported-blockchains 404; Allnodes nodes and blog 404; Lava developers and network 404. A 404 of an old URL is an extraction/discovery gap, not product absence.
- LlamaRPC and chains returned 526; docs/status DNS lookup failed. Grove docs DNS lookup failed. Lava docs extraction returned title only. These limit conclusions; do not infer missing functionality from fetch failure. No monitored 403 was reported in today's script output.
- Changes detected in QuickNode home/pricing/enterprise, Chainstack blog, Ankr docs, NOWNodes blog, dRPC chainlist, Blockdaemon blog/docs, Tatum blog and Allnodes home/pricing are page-level changes. No verified new regional launch, MENA/LATAM partnership, data-locality contract or newly certified geography was substantiated by these diffs. Arc banners, global menus and live token prices are noise for this criterion.
- CompareNodes SOC/ISO directory was available as a reference snapshot, but is not evidence of regional RPC locations or residency; it is not a competitor row. Do not conflate cloud partner certification with vendor certification.
Actionable priorities
- Sales: request named chain-specific RPC node *and* gateway regions, failover route, log/indexer/backup locations and contractual residency/SLA/DPA; never equate geo-balanced with residency.
- Product marketing: if GetBlock can demonstrate per-region backend selection and auditable data-flow/failover boundaries, make that distinction explicit, with proof; avoid competitor-negative claims from evidence gaps.
- Content/research: obtain direct region-location pages for every unresolved provider, especially UAE/Saudi, Brazil/Mexico, Japan/Singapore and EU. Keep this dated record as audit, not the public decision surface.

Pre-run encyclopedia publisher reported success (133 URLs) before this consolidation; republish after both markdown updates and verify public topic and daily pages. Agentic routing paper pre-run job reported ok=true, paper_updated=true, evidence_count=11 and URL living routing paper. Its auto-selected references include generic latency/SLA/agent terminology and should not be read as a validated regional positioning update; review for topic relevance separately.
